How to teach the students in telling the time?

In this lesson, Balqis, Faris and Neo was taught about the time.

By using analog DIY clock, I invited  them to set the short and long needle refer to the questions. 

I introduced the term of AM, PM, Quarter, Half, to, past

 

How to teach parts of Plants

"In The Garden"

In the lesson of teaching parts of plants I try to make them feel the rough of root, the fragrance of flower in the garden, to sing, etc.

 There are four students who will  have their turn to mention the parts of  plants. 

1. Aqila

2. Alenna

3. Kelvin

4. Shella 

Some vocabularies that may improve their English such as : branch, trunk, flower, fruit, root, leaf

the media used is a bush which has the parts of plants from root to fruit. 

A song for them to remember at home is "Look at My Garden"

 

How to teach Verbs easily and fun?

 

HOW TO TEACH DAILY ROUTINE?

In this lesson, students introduced to some verbs related daily routine. To raise their happiness during learning some verbs, some activities are provided for them. There were three students attended the lesson: Neo, Balqis, and Faris.     

The activities are such as below:

1. Singing a song  :  "Daily Routine"

I get up in the morning 3x stretch 3x

I have a breakfast in the morning 3x yum 3x

I take a shower in the morning 3x splash 3x

I brush my teeth in the morning 3x brush 3x

I go to school in the morning 3x go 3x

These all the things I do every day 

 2. Miming and guessing

        The students must guess what activity mimed by a student 

        Those who success to guess become the winner

 ESC Students,

People in Indonesia thought that teaching English is very difficult. Why?

1. The subject doesn't match with kid's needs

2. The teacher/ instructor doesn't know how to create such a good and fun teaching, thus the students will feel bored due to the lesson.

3. The classroom situation will give the students un-enjoy with the lesson

In ESC, I tried to develop some strategies to answer the above questions. With little numbers of students, the learning time will be more effective. 

At today's lesson, I taught four students in the lesson with the theme "In the Kitchen". They learnt some nouns, verbs, and activities regarding in the kitchen.

What did they do?     They made a sandwich based on simple English instructions given by the instructor. 

They enjoyed while learning English in very different ways.

While to introduce ESC English Speaking  Corner to public, ESC contributes an activity of SMANSA related their 71th anniversary .
